Китайская газета «Шицзе бао» опубликовала статью, посвященную новому китайскому танку MBT-3000, который, по мнению издания, обречен стать звездой мирового танкового рынка, потеснив российские Т-90С.
Как отмечается в статье, хотя внешние отличия MBT-3000 от его предшественника MBT-2000 невелики, изменения коснулись многих систем машины. Танк использует новый 12-цилиндровый дизельный двигатель «150». Масса танка составляет менее 51 т при мощности двигателя 1200 л.с., что позволяет достигать скорости 71 км/ч на пересеченной местности. В результате по подвижности танк превосходит более тяжелые иностранные аналоги, оснащенные двигателями мощностью 1500 л.с. В статье высказывается мнение, что будущие экспортные модификации танка будут использовать дизельный двигатель жидкостного охлаждения мощностью 1300 л.с. с турбонаддувом. Танк может быть оснащен цифровой навигационной системой с модулем GPS. По желанию заказчика возможно форсировать этот двигатель до 1500 л.с. Все компоненты этого двигателя производятся в Китае. Танк имеет запас хода 500 км при скорости 42 км/ч, может преодолевать водные преграды глубиной до 4-5 м, траншеи шириной 2,7 м, наклоны до 60 град.
Танк вооружен 125-мм пушкой китайского производства, 7,62 мм спаренным и 12,7 мм зенитными пулеметами, 8 76-мм дымовыми гранатометами. Боекомплект к пушке составляет 38 выстрелов, в том числе в автомате заряжания — 22 выстрела. Наибольшим изменениям подверглась система управления огнем, построенная по принципу hunter-killer. Танк оснащен новым типом танковых управляемых ракет, обеспечивающих поражение целей на дальности до 5000 м. Усовершенствован автомат заряжания. Прицел выполнен в одном блоке с прибором наведения танковых управляемых ракет.
Защита танка существенным образом усилена и состоит из «базовой брони, комбинированной брони и дополнительной реактивной брони, при этом лобовая броня по толщине сопоставима с Leopard-2» (модификация Leo 2 не указана).
Что касается Т-90С, то его китайская машина превосходит по всем характеристикам, отмечает издание. При этом российский танк рассматривается в качестве основного конкурента на экспортных рынках. Что касается западных машин, то они, обладая высокими боевыми возможностями, отличаются высокими ценами и большими расходами в ходе всего жизненного цикла, что не позволяет многим развивающимся странам их приобретать. На удовлетворения спроса со стороны таких развивающихся стран и нацелен MBT-3000.
